'Tom Clancy's The Division' beta version eagerly awaited

Tom Clancy's The Division Ubisoft

With the game getting a confirmed release date of early March, fans are already anxiously waiting to hear about the beta version of "Tom Clancy's The Division" going live anytime.

Publisher Ubisoft has yet to announce the specific date when the closed beta version will go live. However, when it announced its beta plans last month, the company said that fans may expect the closed beta to go live "in early 2016." Taking fan and player feedback being integrated into the final version before its targeted early March release date, observers are expecting the closed beta to be released before the month ends.

"Tom Clancy's The Division" finished its alpha test last month, with the exclusive test phase made available for Xbox One pre-orders last Dec. 9 to Dec. 12.

Meanwhile, Crossmap reported that in line with the targeted release date, the title has received its ESRB rating, and the industry follower said that the "M" rating was already expected.

However, it seems that the rating agency might have inadvertently thrown in some subtle hints and teasers about the game, describing a little about the story itself at some point: "Several sequences depict corpses, some tied up or hanging from railings, and players must rescue hostages in some levels of the game. Cutscenes occasionally depict bound hostages being stabbed or shot in the head."

The description also hints that the game will have players jump immediately into action after the conceived major attack in the city, without any backstory or prequel scenes.

The ESRB detailed, "As players explore urban areas after a bio-terrorism attack, they combat street gangs and militias in realistic tactical fire fights; characters mostly use machine guns, shotguns, turrets, and grenades to kill enemies."

"Tom Clancy's The Division" will launch on March 8 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
