'Thor 3' movie news: Thanos to make appearance, Thor has new love interest

In Marvel's slate of superhero movies, "Thor" is undoubtedly one of those on top. It wasn't hard to like the story of the Norse god of thunder, his responsibility as King of Asgard, his duty as an Avenger, and how he fell in love with a human. However, Thor's world will turn upside-down in "Thor 3: Ragnarok" because, as Air Herald reports, the upcoming movie will involve the mighty supervillain Thanos and a new love interest.

While fans of the movie are looking forward to seeing how Asgard is destroyed and how Thor actually tears Loki's head off his body, there's someone else to watch out for, and it's none other than the powerful Thanos. Thanos will make an appearance in "Ragnarok" because he needs to get the Infinity Gauntlet there.

Obviously, there will be a universe crossover that will happen here. Thanos was seen in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and it was clear that he wanted to get all six of the infinity gems. However, for the gems to work, the Infinity Gauntlet is needed, and it happens to be in Asgard. In "Ragnarok," Thanos will crash the party and retrieve what he is looking for.

It is unclear whether he will be successful or not, but this will definitely lead to the third "Avengers" movie wherein the team will have to fight Thanos.

Additionally, it is rumored that Natalie Portman will not reprise her role as Jane Foster in "Ragnarok." Rather, Thor will have a new love interest. Rumor has it that the hammer-wielding superhero will breakup with Jane and Marvel Studios has found someone to replace her.

According to KDramaStars, it will be Amora the Enchantress. She is compared to Batman's catwoman. They're not allies nor best friends, but they work with each other if help is needed.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
