'The Walking Dead' season 7 spoilers, release date: Maggie rumored to be next victim

Lauren Cohan as Maggie AMC

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will start by revealing who died at the end of season 6, and a report from TV Guide indicates that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) may not have killed Glenn (Steven Yeun) like he did in the comic books. Instead, Negan may have gone on to kill Maggie (Lauren Cohan).

According to the report, Lauren Cohan had appeared on the first day of filming for season 7 and this was to shoot the premiere episode. However, since then she has not been seen in the Georgia, Atlanta set but the rest of her co-stars are still there filming, indicating her role in the show has already ended and that Maggie has been killed off.

The report continues to point out that back in May Cohan posted photos on Instagram where she was at a beach yet the rest of her co-stars were still out filming for "The Walking Dead" season 7. It is pointed out that it is possible she took the photo months prior and only posted it recently to confuse those looking for spoilers.

However, it is also possible that she may have taken the photo recently and this would confirm that she is no longer involved with the filming of "The Walking Dead" season 7, raising suspicion that she may have been killed off. Given that she was on set only to film the premiere, it is likely she filmed her death scene and then left.

Rumors have been raised that Daryl (Norman Reedus) may have been the one that Negan smashed to death but a previous report points out that leaked images of the set show Daryl alive and in Negan's captivity. Glenn is rumored to be another possible victim but if the show followed the comic books too closely there would be no element of surprise.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 premieres this October.
