'The Walking Dead' season 5 spoilers: Will Daryl and Beth romance happen?

The Walking Dead season 4 AMC

Daryl and Beth may not develop the romance that some people expected to happen in the upcoming "The Walking Dead" season 5.

Executive producer Gale Ann Hurd told Zap2It that there will be more major deaths next season. Last season, viewers saw the tragic death of Herschel as well as other characters such as Karen and the girls.

"It wouldn't be 'The Walking Dead' without some tears," she told the web site, hinting that there will be tear-jerking moments.

"Daryl's interesting because there are the people who want him to hook up with Carol, there are the people who want him to hook up with Beth, there are the people who never wanted him to hook up because he's got to save himself for them. Regardless of what we do, I don't think we're ever going to make anyone happy," she quickly added.

At the recent San Diego Comic Con, the cast and crew of the hit zombie apocalypse TV series graced the event and, as expected, some spoilers were revealed. Actor Norman Reedus dropped a few hints that Daryl and Beth's romance will indeed pick up next season.

This was speculated since Beth and Daryl were stuck together last season which made fans think that the two will develop a romantic relationship.

"This is how I took it, doing it. I took it like, if Daryl had feelings for Beth, he didn't understand them. So he was like a child, like, 'I don't understand what this means.' But, it was more intimate than a coupling," She Knows cited Norman Reedus as saying at the San Diego Comic Con.

'The Walking Dead' Season 5 is currently filming in Atlanta. "The Walking Dead" season 5 will come back on air in October at AMC.
