'The Walking Dead' season 5 spoilers: Ansel Elgort to joining cast as Andrew who hits it off with Beth Greene

The Walking Dead season 4 finale AMC

"The Walking Dead" season 5 will reportedly star Ansel Elgort who recently garnered fame for his portrayal in films such as "The Fault In Our Stars" and "Divergent".

The latest rumor was sparked by the tweet of @TheWalkingNews. The said account posted a photo of the actor with a caption, "@AnselElgort of TFIOS will be playing Andrew in Season 5 of #TheWalkingDead who could have a 'thing' with Beth!"

Beth Greene is still missing in the zombie apocalypse show. However, the tweet clearly hinted that the two characters will most likely hit it off next season and the back story of the two will be revealed. It is possible that Beth and Andrew will meet at the Terminus.

Andrew will play the new love interest of Beth although the actor and AMC have not confirmed the rumors yet.

Meanwhile, actress Emily Kinney fueled the speculations that her character Beth Greene will come back on the fifth season of "The Walking Dead". She said that next season's premiere episode will be something to look forward to.

She also added that the next season will finally shed light to what happened to Beth Greene. Beth Greene had gone missing since the 13th episode of season 4. She was taken away by a car and against her will. However, new reports claimed that the said car was spotted in the location.

This is backed up by the previous statement of showrunner Scott Gimple who has confirmed that Beth's fate will be revealed in Season 5. He said that Beth's story is not yet over. Robert Kirkman also confirmed that we will see Beth in Season 5.

'The Walking Dead' Season 5 is currently filming in Atlanta. "The Walking Dead" season 5 will come back on air in October at AMC.
