'The Walking Dead: Michonne' game to launch Feb. 23 for PS4, Xbox One, Feb. 25 for mobile devices

The Walking Dead: Michonne - Episode 1 TellTale Games

"The Walking Dead: Michonne" from TellTale Games will officially launch for PC and consoles this coming Feb. 23. A mobile version for iOS and Android devices will arrive on Feb. 25. The release date information comes directly from the official TellTale Games website.

As posted on the site, the game will launch for the PC, Mac, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One first. iOS and Android devices will follow but no version for the PS Vita has yet been confirmed. It will also be available via Steam and the Amazon app store.

The game was initially set to release in fall 2015 but was later delayed to further improve the game and to closely work with "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman.

The first episode will be titled "In Too Deep" and will tell the story of the sword-wielding Michonne and what adventures she went through in between comic book issues 126 and 139. In "The Walking Dead" comic books, this was approximately explained as a supply run but the mini-series games will now expand on that plot arc.

As stated in a report from Gamespot, the story will follow Michonne as she joins Pete and the crew of the ship called The Companion as they sail across the coast for supplies and survivors. The second episode will be titled "Give No Shelter" while the third episode will be titled "What We Deserve." They will release in March and April, respectively.

"The Walking Dead: Michonne - A TellTale Mini-Series" will be available for $14.99 and this will include all three episodes once they all release.

It is important to note that the mini-series will be set in the world of the comic books and not the popular television series. This in turn puts the mini-series in the same universe as the main video game series, "The Walking Dead: Season 1" and "Season 2," which follow the adventures of a young girl named Clementine.
