Even though "The Voice" season seven is only entering its battle round, NBC's critically acclaimed singing competition has already revealed its chosen coaches for the eighth season.

The 2015 cycle, which will premiere in spring, will put forward Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams once again alongside returning musicians Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Carson Daly put forward the announcement last Tuesday morning on the "Today Show" with which a message on Twitter was posted by the show's official account, saying: ".@CarsonDaly just shared a big announcement about @NBCTheVoice! Coaches for next cycle: @Pharrell. @adamlevine, @blakeshelton & @xtina."

Williams' return for his second consecutive run alters the competition's usual decision of rotating two coaches every other season.

Aguilera will also return to the show after taking a break for one cycle, in time for the delivery of her second child.  Her last coaching duty was in the fifth season alongside CeeLo Green, who had already announced his final departure from the show.

As such, the 2015 cycle will be the first time that Williams and Aguilera are to be featured together.

Paul Telegdy, president for the alternative and late night programming for NBC Entertainment, already released an official statement about Aguilera's return to "The Voice" and the selection of coaches for the 2015 cycle.

"We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can't wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell in what will be an incredibly competitive competition," Telegdy stated.

He also spoke about individual and collaborative efforts of the chosen coaches and said, "These four talented artists are at the top of their game as musicians and as coaches. The mentoring is sure to be intense, and the stakes will be high."

"The Voice" has been airing its pre-taped episodes for season seven, and will carry on to its live rounds after a couple of weeks.
