'The Originals' season 2 spoilers: Mary Alice and Megan - two new characters to join

Two new faces will grace "The Originals" season 2, and may appear either late this fall or early next year. According to SpoilerTV, CW Network is currently casting two new characters for the series. The new characters are named Mary Alice and Megan.

Mary Alice is a witch and had a past relationship with Marcel. Megan, on the other hand, is an ordinary person without superpowers, but the girl is on a mission and is trying to find her family in New Orleans. However, there could be mayhem if she finds them.

Meanwhile, as the premiere date of the second season of "The Originals" is fast approaching, fans are showered with spoilers, teasers, and speculations on what to expect in the upcoming season. Some reports claim that there will be huge fights and more flashbacks in the new season of "The Originals."

Executive producer Julie Plec said some of "The Originals" characters are headed to Mystic Falls. She explained that the writers and execs are always "talking about different paths" that can be taken to allow crossovers. However, the show runner has not revealed additional information about this.

One of the things that fans should watch out for next season is Hayley who lost her sense of self after she transformed into a hybrid in the last episode of the previous season. Avid viewers saw that the transformation happened after the attempt to kill her. Luckily, she survived through her baby's blood, which brought her back to life. However, Hayley lost the baby.

Hayley will be in a dark place when the new season opens, which is expected since she just lost her child. However, her character will grow and, hopefully, get past the tragedy and move on.

"The Originals" season 2 premieres on the CW on Oct. 6.
