The final episode of sixth season of "The Mentalist" could be a turning point in the series as it will bring "closure" to the two characters. Audience must hold on to their seats as some of the major decisions will be made on the season finale of the hit TV drama.

TV show creator Bruno Heller as well as the two characters Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) stated that there will be closure in the finale as CBS finally orders the next season of the series, which was rumored to be the final season of the hit TV crime drama.

According to the synopsis on TV.com, it seemed that Teresa chooses Pike but Patrick Jane will assess his feelings towards Teresa and will decide how to proceed with his feelings. Thus, viewers can expect closure in the finale.

The Hollywood Reporter cited Bruno Heller who said that fans will be "satisfied" by the finale. This is further fueled by Simon Baker's remarks that there will be closure, but added "it will leave [the fans] craving more."

Meanwhile, this week's episode, which is the penultimate episode of "The Mentalist" season 6, the FBI digs even deeper in a cold case of kidnapped and slaughtered women for their vital organs. Patrick Jane engages Teresa into another act in order to catch the bad guys.

According to TV.com, "In the sixth-season finale, a new lead in a cold case surfaces, forcing Lisbon to postpone her plans to relocate, and this delay allows Jane to examine his feelings for her and decide how to proceed."

Fans may have to say goodbye to the series as "The Mentalist" Season 7 could be the final season of the series. Bruno Heller himself describes it as "like an encore" and it is about "giving [fans] what they want."

"The Mentalist" airs every Sunday at CBS.
