'The Flash' season 3 villain teased; Kid Flash confirmed

Wally West aka Kid Flash The CW

"The Flash" season 2 ended with Zoom (Teddy Sears) defeated and Barry Allen aka the Flash (Grant Gustin) going back in time to save his mother. His actions are speculated to alter the present how events came to pass and the first indications of this include the confirmation that Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) is now going to be Kid Flash.

According to a report from TV Line, the premiere episode is going to be titled "Flashpoint" and this is an obvious reference to a famous comic book storyline in which the Flash saves his mother in the past but when he returns to the present everything had changed and he no longer had his powers, forcing him to figure out a way to bring things back to normal.

The report continues to state that with Barry altering the flow of events through history this may have allowed Wally West to become the Flash instead. However, Barry will still be aware of the different timelines and how things changed and this may prompt him to try and change reality one more time.

Kid Flash is not the only confirmed alteration to the timeline. A report from Comic Book Movie reveals that the new villain has been shown in leaked photos of the set, showcasing a speedster clad in a black costume. According to the report it is highly speculated that this speedster is the Black Racer.

The Black Racer, in the DC comic books, is often viewed as an embodiment of death and goes after speedsters who have cheated death one too many times. It is possible this villain is out looking for Barry Allen for cheating death several times and for altering history several times as well.

Some fans are disappointed, however, given that the villain for season 3 is yet another speedster.

"The Flash" season 3 is set to premiere this Oct. 4 on the CW.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
