'The Flash' movie news: Executive producer teases Cyborg's inclusion in film

Victor Stone aka Cyborg DC Comics

Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg (Ray Fisher) had a very brief cameo in the recently released "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie, but he will be given his own solo movie which will be released in 2020. However, according to producer Deborah Snyder, the character will appear earlier than expected as he will be in "The Flash" movie as well.

Snyder first revealed to Forbes that each film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) will share a similar aesthetic given that they are in the same cinematic universe, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will all be dark and brooding, with each director given room to do their own thing.

Snyder points out that "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman" will feel very different from "Wonder Woman," "The Flash" and "Suicide Squad."

In regards to "The Flash," she then explained, "As you can imagine, when we get to the 'Flash' movie, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher - who plays Cyborg - are kind of our youngest characters, and they have a really nice comradery with each other. Ezra is super funny, so the tone of that film will be very different than the rest of them."

According to a report from Collider, this will keep the DCEU consistent with their approach of having the superheroes cross-over with each other's films the way Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) made her debut in "Batman v Superman."

It will also address a major complaint thrown at the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) wherein the other superheroes never manage to help each other except when it is an "Avengers" film. One of the only significant crossovers in the MCU was when Falcon (Anthony Mackie) appeared in "Ant-Man" and even then it was as an enemy and not as an ally.

This connection between Cyborg and the Flash has already been adapted at least once, in the animated film "Justice League War," where the Flash was present during Vic Stone's accident in the lab that turned him into the Cyborg.

"The Flash" movie will hit theaters March 16, 2018.
