"Terminator Genisys" is set to hit theaters soon but a lot of fans have expressed doubt, particularly after the trailers revealed one of the film's main plot twists: John Connor (Jason Clarke) is now a terminator and one of the film's antagonists. However, the latest TV spots marketing the film showcase James Cameron's approval of the fifth film.

Cameron, famed director of the first two "Terminator" films as well as director of the Academy Award-winning and box office record-breaking "Titanic" and "Avatar" films, previously expressed his full support for "Genisys" in an interview with Yahoo! Movies. But the TV spots go a few steps beyond and focus on his love for the new material.

The "You Will Love This" featurette showcases three quotes from the director. Cameron is quoted as saying that "Genisys" reinvigorates the franchise.

The franchise did see a decline after the TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" failed to gain traction despite high critical praise, and the third and fourth films were viewed as below average pieces compared to the first two directed by Cameron.

Cameron also said that the "twist is more than you expected." This may be a direct hit at the spoiler featured in the trailers which reveal that John Connor has turned into a form of terminator. It is possible that this reveal happens toward the beginning of the film and that there are deeper layers to this plotline than what the trailers show.

"You are going to love this movie" is the third quote featured in the TV spot. Back in his interview with Yahoo! Movies, the director declared that "Terminator Genisys" should be considered as the true third film in the franchise and that fans may be able to disregard 2003's "Terminator 3: Rise of Machines" and 2009's "Terminator Salvation."

"Terminator Genisys" will be shown in theaters starting July 1.
