'Teen Wolf' season 5B spoilers: Promotional image teases what's to come

Teen Wolf season 5b promo image MTV

Last Monday MTV began sending "Teen Wolf" fans images via social media and it didn't take long for fans to figure out they all connect as pieces of a puzzle. All 100 pieces form a single portrait of dead bodies piled on top of one another, and according to a report from Hypable there are a few clues hidden in the image.

One of the biggest giveaways is the image of Scott (Tyler Posey). As stated in the report, he is one of the very few characters shown alive in the image. Scott is shown trying to get out from the pile and appears to be reaching out to something or someone.

Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) is also shown alive in the photo, although he doesn't appear as hopeful as Scott does. This may be caused, however, by the fact his father appears dead right in front of him. Another notable character is Malia (Shelley Hennig) being choked by an unidentified woman.

Kira (Arden Cho) is shown lying down with her eyes wide open but her sword is piercing a fox, an image that may symbolize the death of her fox spirit.

Right across from Malia is what many believe to be Allison (Crystal Reed), although she appears to be in shape far worse than the rest of the characters. She is also grasping onto a necklace which many fans speculate to be the Argent necklace, a callback to the Beast du Gevaudan.

A report from Enstarz also points out that Coach (Orny Adams) is visible in the photo and can be identified by his signature whistle. This signifies his return to the show.

There also appears to be a fourth Dread Doctor, Gerard Argent (Michael Hogan) and several mysterious symbols such as a septagram mostly associated with Wiccan practitioners and three dead Native Americans.

"Teen Wolf" season 5B premieres this Jan. 5, 2016.
