Surface Pro 4 release date set for 2015?

In terms of design, the Surface Pro 4 is reported to resemble its predecessor. Microsoft

Software titans have been releasing flagships and high-end offerings in the past few months. However, one company has been fairly quiet that the hope of users for another Surface release seems to have slowly faltered.

Microsoft's silence has been misunderstood to mean that the company has put a halt to its thriving PC hybrid lineups. However, General Manager of Surface, Brian Hall, thankfully saves that weakening beacon of hope for many. In an Oct. 9 entry in the official Surface blog, Hall wrote about the current device's accessories being attuned to future Surface hybrids.

"We are pleased to share that the following Surface pro 3 accessories are designed with our product roadmap in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the 'Pro' line Surface," Hall wrote.

Microsoft is still in transition with all the big management changes that took place this year. However, it already doubled its income with the Surface Pro 3, which caused quite a stir in the corporate world upon its availability. BMW, Louis Vuitton and Coca-Cola are some of the huge companies the Surface Pro 3 has served. The titanic company has no reason to be stagnant.

Newly appointed Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has also made efforts in throwing light on the issue.

"We believe a strength of the Microsoft platform for enterprise is the rich ecosystem of hardware and applications developed by our partners, the community at large, and some of our own teams at Microsoft," Nadella stated via Latin Post.

"In particular with Microsoft Surface Pro 3 we are now offering an enterprise-class device that can deliver great end user productivity. Microsoft is putting its full and sustained support behind the ongoing Surface program as one of a number of great hardware choices for businesses large and small," the CEO continued.

The Surface Pro 4 is now the one to watch. Slated for a 2015 launch, the new Surface addition is rumored to sport a 12-inch display, just like what its predecessor has now. It may also run Windows 10, should the new operating system get launched ahead of it. The Surface siblings are reported to share the same thickness (8 mm).

While modifications on design and build seem to be minimal, big hardware changes are to be expected of the Surface Pro 4. The new PC-tablet fusion should boast more RAM and a faster processor. Gordon Ung of Maximum PC and Nick Pino of Tech Radar via Breathecast presume the Surface Pro 4 to house an Intel Core M to give it more power, longer battery span and proficiency in gaming.
