In the next episode of "Supernatural," Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and his brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) face a mysterious threat in the woods.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment titled "Wayward Sisters" were released just recently, and they show Sam and Dean tied to separate trees in the forest in the middle of the night. Sam calls out to his brother on the other side to see if he's alright.

"Hey, what happened?" Dean asks his sibling. All of a sudden, a mysterious creature exposes itself to the brothers. "Him," Sam answers back to his fellow hunter. It appears the creature tied them to the trees to eat them later. "I think he just rang the dinner bell," Sam says in an urgent tone. It remains to be seen what the mysterious being looks like and if the brothers will be able to escape.

The upcoming episode will also feature female recurring characters who will somewhat form a group and battle supernatural creatures. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Andrew Dabb shared, "Giving the spotlight to women and getting them to be centered in that [Sam and Dean] way is exciting because it's new. A lot of what we're seeing is Supergirl-like characters, and something that's special about Supernatural that becomes even more special when it's about women is that these are human beings."

In the last episode, Jack (Alexander Calvert) created an opening into the alternate dimension where the Winchester brothers' mother was trapped. With the help of the dreamwalker Kaia (Yadira Guevara-Prip), Jack found himself in that dimension with the chance to save the trapped woman. Meanwhile, the brothers got transported to the "bad place."

"Supernatural" season 13 episode 10 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
