'Supernatural' season 10 spoilers: Crowley and Castiel to be regulars in new season

Fans may end up seeing more of Crowley and Castiel on the next season of "Supernatural".

"The final 30 seconds of the finale ... certainly sets up what's going to happen with Season 10," said Jared Padelecki in his interview with Zap2It after the season 9 finale. In the last episode, Dean was killed while fighting Metatron but he came back to life after Crowley placed the First Blade in his dead body. However, he becomes a demon after being stabbed.

"Sam sees Dean in this situation that Sam was in Season 4, so he's saying to his brother, 'Buddy, you had to help me off the edge five years ago and now you're doing the same thing. Open your eyes!' But that's something I understand. I know what it feels like to love somebody, a family member, and go, 'Listen, man, push through.' I've been there. I get it. It's kind of like what Dean said to Sam at the end of last season. 'Listen, there are other ways to do this, get off the ledge.' It's nice to play that," Padalecki added.

In season 10, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) will play the significant role in the series. It is unclear yet if he will become a protagonist or antagonist in the series. Sheppard first appeared on "Supernatural" as Crowley in Season 5 as Lilith's right hand man. Since then, he appeared once in a while as a "frenemy" to the Winchester brothers. Crowley will help them at times while getting in their way at other times.

Castiel (Misha Collins) will also be another series regular next season. "I don't know what Cas' fate is but I'm sure that his depleting grace is going to be a storyline that's playing out in Season 10. That's not a storyline that's resolved in Season 9," Collins said.

The tenth season of "Supernatural" will be back in its usual timeslot in fall.
