'Super Smash Bros.' roster: Game adds Bayonetta and Corrin

It was previously reported that Cloud Strife from "Final Fantasy VII" has been added to the roster of "Super Smash Bros." for the WIi U and 3DS and that the DLC packages for the game are coming to an end. In the final Nintendo Direct for "Super Smash Bros." Nintendo finally announced the two remaining DLC characters for the game.

As per Gematsu, the first character revealed was Corrin, the main character in the upcoming "Fire Emblem Fates" game for the 3DS. Like Robin (Fire Emblem Awakening), Corrin will be playable as either male and female and the character's moveset will take full advantage of Corrin's dragon-blood powers.

Two songs from "Fire Emblem Fates" will be added to "Super Smash Bros." along with the purchase of the Corrin DLC. The 3DS version of the game will also have two trophies of Xander and Ryoma. Purchasing Corrin on just one platform will cost $4.99 while getting the character for both Wii U and 3DS will cost $5.99.

The second character revealed is the witch Bayonetta, the main character in the "Bayonetta" franchise. She will have two costume variants: one based on her appearance in the first game and the other from the second game. While Corrin is a power fighter with dragon powers, Bayonetta will play similarly to her main games and is a combo fighter.

Bayonetta will cost $5.99 separately and $6.99 when bought for both the Wii U and 3DS. Purchasing her will also add the "Umbra Clock Tower" stage, several songs, and trophies of Bayonetta, Rodin, Jeanne and Cereza.

Both Corrin and Bayonetta are currently scheduled to launch sometime in February 2016. Cloud Strife, the first of the three announced DLC characters, is now available for $5.99 on each platform and $6.99 when bought for both.

One last addition is a "Geno"costume for Mii fighters, based on Geno from "Super Mario RPG." A Chocobo Hat accessory, from the "Final Fantasy" games, has also been unlocked for Mii fighters. Several other costumes, some based on the "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "WarioWare" games, will be launched in February 2016.
