After initially being mentioned to be part of Super Smash Bros 4, directory Masahiro Sakurai has announced that Mewtwo of Pokemon fame will be joining the gang anytime soon.

Confirmation of Mewtwo's inclusion came as early as October of last year and now the said character is said to be fully developed and ready for inclusion. Fans can expect a genetically re-engineered MewTwo that still closely resembles his mold from the Pokemon anime series.

With the new look, MewTwo reportedly looks more humanoid which should be something players are bound to want to use when he does become available.

For those who are unfamiliar with MewTwo, he is a character that is best remembered for Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. He was actually a secret character which can be obtained after completing the game.

Considering that MewTwo is one of the more formidable and powerful characters from Pokemon, it remains to be seen what powers he brings to Super Smash Bros. MewTwo was best known for his psychic powers in Pokemon, though it remains to be seen if this (and how) it will all be integrated into his fighting style.

How to get MewTwo? The said character will be offered by Nintendo for its upcoming DLC as a free download through the special Club Nintendo promotion.

Hence, for users who purchase and register their Super Smash Bros. game for the Wii and Nintendo 3DS, a free code for the downloadable DLC. For those who haven't registered yet, you have up to the end of March to register and get a chance to download the free MewTwo DLC.

With the impending release of MewTwo, could there be others following the popular Pokemon character? Rumors suggest that there could be other popular characters lined up though it remains to be seen which other characters would be following the psychic-powered MewTwo.
