'Suits' season 6 spoilers: Jessica and Rachel attempt to delay Leonard's execution in episode 8

 USA Network

In "Suits" season 6, Mike (Patrick J. Adams) is now in prison but still attempting to help. The official synopsis for episode 8, as per TV.com, reveals that Mike will be presenting his own star witness against William Sutter (Alan Rosenberg) and Kevin (Erik Palladino) so that he can get out of prison early.

While Mike continues to deal with his plans of legally getting out of prison much earlier than planned, Harvey (Gabriel Macht) will continue his battle against Sean Cahill (Neal McDonough) as he attempts to bring into light the fact that Sutter and Kevin were both involved in fraud.

As Mike and Harvey operate on both sides of a jail cell, Jessica (Gina Torres) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) will be struggling to delay Leonard Daley's execution. Back in episode 5 Leonard's execution had been given a final date despite their attempts to prove his innocence and now they'll need to delay it further in order to gather enough evidence just to re-open the case.

The synopsis also reveals that Louis (Rick Hoffman) will start getting adjusted to his new life as the "other man" in Tara Messer's (Carly Pope) life after learning that she isn't exactly single and available. Previous episodes showcases how far Louis was willing to go just to get Tara's attention and to take her out on a date it comes as no surprise he'd be willing to be in an affair with her.

Fans speculate that Leonard's execution may be delayed long enough for Jessica and Rachel to prove his innocence, bringing in a lot of positive attention to the law firm. At the same time it is possible that Mike and Harvey will prove Sutter and Kevin's cases and successfully get Mike out of prison early.

"Suits" season 6 episode 8, "Borrowed Time," premieres Aug. 31.
