"Street Fighter" fans are in for a big surprise in "Street Fighter V," as an old character's return to the franchise has been announced.

Developer and publisher Capcom has revealed that Blanka, the green-skinned feral savage resembling a hairy Hulk in "Street Fighter" is back in the latest game. As such, he has received a much-needed modern makeover to put him up to scratch with the rest of the fighter roster.

Though Blanka will be available for a price, albeit at an affordable $5.99 cost come Feb. 20, which is his release date. Players who do not want to spend real-world money for Blanka can acquire him for 100,000 Fight Money, which is the in-game currency for "Street Fighter V." This will require winning quite a considerable number of matches. As for those who already have the Season 3 Character Pass that costs $29.99, Blanka will be free along with Sakura, Falke, Cody, G and Sagat as soon as they're available.

Blanka will also be receiving new capabilities based on the features of "Street Fighter V," in which he can access and make use of V-Skill, V-Triggers and Critical Art attack. Each move will also add to Blanka's ferocity, meaning old players who are familiar with the character will have to adapt, while those who like picking Blanka will be able to utilize new combos.

For those unfamiliar with Blanka, the iconic contender in the franchise first appeared in "Street Fighter II" where his origin story saw him surviving a plane crash in the Amazon forest region and learning how to fight like fierce jungle creatures. This eventually made him change his appearance to that of a beast and despite this, he is quite misunderstood and is actually friendly, making him an instant favorite among fans of the franchise.

Fans will finally have their favorite and long-awaited Street Fighter once Blanka gets released for "Street Fighter V" come Feb. 20 for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC.
