Fighting game fans need to wait just one more week before video game developer Capcom releases "Street Fighter V Arcade Edition." The good news is that Capcom has already released the patch notes through the Capcom Unity site, which detail some of the major changes and differences the game will have compared to the base "Street Fighter V" game. This includes the players' ability to change their Fighter ID as well as some tweaks in the game's balance.
According to the announcement in the Capcom Unity site, a significant new feature has been added to the training mode. Players will now be able to determine every possible in-game situation, on whether each move puts them at a disadvantage or an advantage. This means that players will easily recognize at which points in the game they can either exploit their enemies or be vulnerable to possible counter-attacks.
The way this works is characters will be highlighted in blue if they are at an advantage, and red if they are at a disadvantage. The color indicator is applicable to all types of in-game situations, and could be useful in developing the ability to predict an opponent's move.
Additionally, players will be able to change their Fighter ID and Home tag either by paying in-game cash worth 200,000, or paying real money, which would cost them $9.99 in the digital store. It is important to note that after the purchase, players will be able to change both at the same time, but will have to do it when prompted.
Otherwise, the system will consider a failed attempt to change both Fighter ID and Home tag as one instance, and the purchase would be wasted.
On top of that, "Street Fighter V Arcade Edition" presents a new rank titled Grand Master Rank, which players can avail for 35,000 League Points.
"Street Fighter V Arcade Edition" is scheduled to be released on Jan. 16.
