Austin Mayer was enjoying the night, celebrating his 24<sup>th birthday with his fiancé at the concert, as well as their anniversary. He was an automotive student at Truckee Meadows Community College. Posts and sentiments rained for the death of Austin, as he was a beloved son, future son-in-law and brother.
Teresa Nicol Kimura was at the festival with her friends when the mass shooting started. They all got separated during the nightmare, and when they reunited, they found that Kimura had died. She is known to have been a lover of life and a happy person.
Brian Fraser attended the festival with 20 people, including his wife and children. He was a very hands-on parent as he coached his children's football and baseball teams and was part of the school's parents association. He was there to watch his favorite country singer, Jason Aldean. It was when Aldean was about to sing that the mass shooting erupted. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive his injuries.
John Phippen, 56 years old and a father of six, was with his son Travis at the concert. John was killed by the gunfire at the Route 91 Harvest festival while Travis was shot in the arm. John is remembered by loved ones and acquantances as a simple man who enjoyed the little things in life. A GoFundMe created for the Phippen family by longtime neighbors and friends, Leah and Paul Nagyivanyi, reads, "If you didn't know John you surely missed out. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life and having fun doing them."
