'Star Wars Episode 7' plot spoilers: Han Solo, Leia, Luke to die? first look at unmasked Kylo Ren

An exclusive report from Vanity Fair reveals a few images of the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens." Some are behind the scenes images, a first look at Lupita Nyong'o doing motion capture work for her CGI character, and the first official look at Adam Driver portraying the villain Kylo Ren without his mask on.

The image shows Kylo Ren on an icy planet similar to Hoth, featured in "The Empire Strikes Back," with two Stormtroopers behind him. It was long speculated that Adam Driver would be portraying the red lightsaber-wielding villain first seen in the teaser trailer last December but this is the first photo that confirms it.

A new report from Making Star Wars states that Kylo Ren might be Princess Leia and Han Solo's son. Han is going through deep emotional struggles because he lost his wife and son, perhaps due to his pirate antics or due to other issues, and it will all come to a crescendo when he and Kylo Ren meet.

According to the report, Kylo Ren resents his father and may even end up killing Han Solo by the end of the film. There is also an indication that Leia and Luke would meet their end before the film is over.

Making Star Wars also details a sequence in the film where Han Solo rams the Millenium Falcon. This may be the sequence that kills the iconic space pirate but it also means that "The Force Awakens" will be the last film for the Millenium Falcon.

C-3PO and R2-D2 are also rumored to bow out of the franchise and will be replaced by the new droid, BB-8. No details have been given how the two droids might meet their end.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits theaters on Dec. 18.
