"South Park" is returning to video game screens with its latest game "South Park: The Fractured but Whole." Reminiscent of its predecessor "South Park: The Stick of Truth," players will be returning as the new kid, a customisable character who moves into town only to get dragged into the shenanigans of the "South Park" crew.

The game is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this Oct. 17.

While the first "South Park" game was a spin-off of fantasy table-top games like "Dungeons and Dragons," "South Park: The Fractured but Whole" will be shifting the focus onto superheroes and a variety of hero classes will be available for gamers to choose from. Each of these classes will cater to a different play style.

Classes include a brutalist, speedster, blaster, karate kid, commander, netherborn, and more.

A summary released on Ubisoft's website reveals the players will join characters from the South Park Franchise on their adventures as they "delve into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park with Coon and Friends."

The South Park kids are out to form a gang of superheroes in hopes of getting a movie deal. As Cartman, one of the kids from the gang, says in the trailer, "We dedicate our lives to fighting crime for one reason, to make a billion dollars on a superhero franchise."

Players will not only have the chance to choose their superhero class — they will also have the chance to forge their hero-to-be's backstory. Those curious in seeing more can watch the 15 minutes of gameplay available on IGN's YouTube channel.

The video allows players to catch a glimpse of the game's graphics, voice acting, gameplay and combat system, and it also shows off the new kid as he tries to join Cartman and his crew.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft released the PC specs and requirement for "South Park: The Fractured but Whole." People who want to play the game will need an intel core i5 processor, a resolution of 720 progressive scan, 2 GB of video random access memory (VRAM), and 6 GB of RAM at the very least. More information regarding the system requirements and game specs can be found on Ubisoft's website
