Sony has not confirmed the exact release date of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4, but a new leak hints that the handset will be released sometime from May to November next year. An email to Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton surfaced online detailing the plans of Sony Mobile and the prices it is willing to pay for the product placement of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 phones in the new James Bond movie "Spectre."

According to the contents of the email published in Gizmodo, Sony plans to intensify its advertising strategies by showing off the new Xperia phones in a movie. The company plans to even pay producer Barbara Broccoli, director Sam Mendes, and main star Daniel Craig for placement fees.

The email hints that there is more than one Xperia Z4, since it mentions "new Z4 Phones." The email adds that the phones are planned for May/November of 2015.

This fuels the rumors that Sony will unveil a full Sony Xperia Z4 line consisting of the Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Compact, and Xperia Z4 Ultra. The Xperia Z4 is said to boast the following specs: 5.4-inch quad HD Triluminos display; Snapdragon 805 or 810 processor paired with 4 GB RAM; Android 5.0 Lollipop OS; Sony's new 21-megapixel Exmor IMX230 camera sensor and 3.2-megapixel front-facing shooter; and 3300 mAh battery.

Sony's phablet dubbed as Xperia Z4 Ultra is rumored to be thinner with almost similar specs to the Xperia Z4, except that it will have a 5.9-inch qHD Triluminos display and a 16-megapixel rear camera. The Xperia Z4 Compact, on the other hand, will be the smaller version of the Z4 smartphone. The handset will have a 4.7-inch screen display with 1080p full HD resolution, Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage with microSD slot.

There is a probability that the Sony Xperia Z4 smartphones will be announced in March at the Mobile World Congress and will be available in May. However, Sony has revealed nothing official yet.
