The release date for Sony Xperia Z4 is speculated to happen in March and the device will be introduced at the Mobile World Congress.

Next year's tech event will be held on March 2 to 5, 2015. The company will most likely follow its previous release date timeline. Sony launched the Xperia Z2 at this year's MWC. The Sony Xperia Z3 was released just last September. Sony is notorious for updating its Xperia Z line every six months.

However, new reports claimed that the Japanese manufacturer realized that there is no need to update the smartphone in a very short span as it makes the consumers anticipate less for the newest smartphones thinking that they can always get the new smartphone in six months.

Android Origin cited "trusted sources" who stated that the company will let go of its strategy as it just saturates the market. It is most likely that Sony will refresh its smartphone line annually just like its rivals Apple and Samsung. This will also build up the anticipation of the buyers.

According to rumors, the Sony Xperia Z4 will enter the phablet category and will offer 5.5 inch screen display with 2560 x 1440 quad HD resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone comes with 2.5 GHz quad-core Krait processor or 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor. Just like the previous Xperia Z smartphones, the handset will come with a separate graphics chipset, most likely the Adreno 420. The device will also pack a 4GB of RAM.

The handset is rumored to be available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants. The Sony Xperia Z4 is also set to come with Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a 3300 mAh battery, including a 20.7 MP rear shooter with 4K recording and 3.2 MP front-facing shooter. Just like the previous Xperia handsets, the Xperia Z4 will include waterproof feature and aluminum.

However, Sony is yet to confirm the rumors about the fourth generation of Sony Xperia handset.
