Sony Xperia Z4 Compact release date news: Device debuting this month?

Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra Sony

For those who have been keeping tabs with Sony's Xperia line, some may have come across that leak which came out last month concerning the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact. The smaller version of the said handset surfaced over at NTT DoCoMo and now word has it that the brother of the Sony Xperia Z4 may be coming out sometime this month.

The Sony Xperia Z4 Compact should be a hit with the ladies or people with small hands. Then again, folks who want a smaller Android phone could also be interested.

What does it have to offer?

Per rumors, the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact may come with a smaller display, probably a 4.5 or 4.7 inch display and run on a Snapdragon 810 processor. It will be amply supported by 3GB of RAM and have 32GB of internal storage. The leaked image of the Xperia Z4 compact bears a model number SO-04G. It is expected to run on Android Lollipop.

Word has it that the Xperia Z4 Compact could come out as early as May 13, hence people who are interested in getting the mini version may want to keep an eye out between now and that date.

If so, the Xperia Z4 Compact will follow the footsteps of its elder brother, the Xperia Z4 which had hit the market last month.

On the issue of whether the compact version would provide a better mobile experience remains to be seen despite proof that a previous Sony handset, the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact was claimed to be a whole lot better than the full size model.

Could the Xperia Z4 Compact be indeed better that the Xperia Z4?

The Sony Xperia Z4 Compact is expected to debut in Japan first and then next to its Asian neighbors before probably heading out into Europe. No word on whether North America could be next in line.
