Only months after Sony launched the Xperia Z2, the company has now come up with a succeeding model known as the Xperia Z3. As announced at the IFA 2014 in Berlin together with the Xperia Z3 Compact, Sony's Xperia Z3 is deemed as the latest flagship Android phone for the company.

The device boasts an impressive range of specs, designs and features. Sony's latest smartphone offering measures 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm, making the handset extra slim and light.

Made available in different colors, such as white, black, copper, and silver green, the Xperia Z3 is made of an aluminum frame with round edges and tempered glass panels.

Its 5.2-inch display boasts a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Because of the phone's Triluminous, Live Colour LED, users can easily read texts and look at photos on such device even in bright sunlight.

Sony's Xperia Z3 also comes with waterproofing protection that will enable the phone to survive at 1.5 meters for a maximum of 30 minutes. Moreover, users can find a 20.7-megapixel camera that allows 4K video with which Sony's distinct Handycam and Cyber-shot technologies have been incorporated.

With interesting features for its camera app, the tech giant has claimed that the Xperia Z3 is the first-ever smartphone to incorporate ISO 12800 sensitivity. The multi-camera mode also allows recording from multiple angles using compatible Xperia devices.

With a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, the new handset comes with 3 GB of RAM and storage options of 16 or 32 GB.  The phone also supports microSD cards of up to 128 GB.

Battery issues have also been addressed as users can look forward to a maximum of two days when using the Z3, thanks to its 3100 mAh battery cell and availability of Stamina power-saving mode.

Interestingly, the PS4 Remote Play has been added as a new feature that allows the Z3 to be used as a remote screen for controlling PS4 games, whereas the Walkman software will enable users to enjoy loud, clear and high-res audio.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, GPS and GLONASS.
