'Sense8' season 2 spoilers: New season will reveal additional clusters

Sense8 Netflix

"Sense8" has officially been renewed for a second season, although very few details have been announced thus far. However, prior to Netflix renewing the series, producer J. Michael Straczynski hinted that the next season would introduce whole new clusters instead of just one or two individual sensates outside of the main group.

"Yes, there are other clusters out there, and if there were to be a second season, we might be meeting them," Straczynski told AssignmentX days before the show was officially renewed. He then explained that sensates from the same cluster won't necessarily be out there to help each other.

"Some of them will be more attuned to the commonality of being in a cluster, some will say, 'I'm hiding out, don't reveal me,' the value of not being seen," he stated. "So not all Sense8s will be naturally good people. Some people with that ability might not be the best people. So there's a whole range of them."

The first season did reveal a few sensates that came from older, more experienced clusters. Perhaps the most notable is Jonas (Naveen Andrews), as he appears to be one of the few sensates whowant to help the show's main cluster in getting accustomed to their new abilities, strengths and weaknesses.

There is also Angel (Daryl Hannah) who was a part of Jonas's cluster and was responsible for awakening the new cluster's latent abilities.

On the opposite end there is Whispers (Terrence Mann), a sensate who now leads an organization hunting and killing other sensates in the world. During season 1, Whispers primarily targeted Will (Brian J. Smith) and Riley (Tuppence Middleton).

It has yet to be seen whether these new clusters will be from older groups who are already used to their life or a new ones with beginners who gained their abilities after season 1's group did.

"Sense8" season 2 has no official premiere date at the time of writing, although it is speculated to premiere in June 2016.
