Following a one-week hiatus, "Scorpion" season 2 returns with episode 17, titled "Adaptation." According to the official synopsis from Cartermatt, this episode will see Walter (Elyes Gabel) and the team deal with drugs being smuggled into the country via drones.

However, this won't be the only issue that the team will be dealing with. The synopsis also states that within the episode, Walter will finally confront Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) regarding their newly formed romantic relationship.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producers Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton explained that they felt it was the right time to get the two characters together. This was done not only for the benefit of the characters but also to experiment how it would affect the team as a whole as well.

"I think it can go two ways, and that's what I'm interested in exploring. There's a likelihood of him opening up a softer side," Wong explained in regards to how the relationship will change her character. "With anyone in a relationship, there's different sides that come out, so I'm interested in what's going to come out of that."

Thomas also stated that he believed the relationship would work. The actors and the executive producers all point out that the only factor that could stand in the way of this relationship falling apart would be Walter himself, particularly due to his standing relationship with Paige (Katharine McPhee).

While all of this going on, the team still needs to deal with the problem of drugs being smuggled into the country. There have been occassions in the past of drug dealers attempting to smuggle their products in via small remote control boats and other types of undetectable vehicles but this will be the first time "Scorpion" will address this concern.

"Scorpion" season 2 episode 17, "Adaptation," will air this Feb. 22.
