The new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge concept image was imagined to come with a special stand for wireless charging.

Concept designer Jermaine Smit envisioned a new device from Samsung and coined it as Galaxy S6 Edge since the company recently released a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge smartphone.

The concept image comes with a stand, which can be placed on the desk or bedside table and will secure the device. Through this stand, the handset will stay upright and can display messages, clock, call logs and other features.

The form factor of the stand is very simple and minimalistic. According to Concept Phones, the stand may also serve as a charger and may pack either a projector or speakers although the designer did not specify such functions.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge seems like a farfetched idea. However, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will most likely make an appearance early next year.

Some of the recently rumored features of the smartphone are 4K pixel resolution for a screen panel of not bigger than 5 inches. The handset will be powered by the forthcoming Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm, which is the chipmaker's first 20nm processor. The upcoming chipset will support both 32- and 64-bit operating systems

The handset will run with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS that will yield to better performance and new software features. At the back, Samsung Galaxy S6 is rumored to include a 20.7 MP camera. With all the power-hogging features, consumers can expect an upgrade on the battery capacity of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 release date is speculated to be in February 2015 as the device will make an appearance ahead of the Mobile World Congress event based on previous releases.

Meanwhile, Samsung has not commented on the rumors surrounding the Galaxy S6 and has not released its roadmap for next year.
