Samsung released the new Galaxy S5 Plus with slightly upgraded specs and features compared to the original Galaxy S5 handset.
The Galaxy S5 Plus was first spotted on Samsung's Dutch website. The handset sports the same design and form factor as the regular Galaxy S5. However, the Plus version boasts the newer 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor rather than the 801 processor chip in the previous S5 smartphone.

The original Samsung Galaxy was released early this year and was considered as one of the top-of-the-line smartphones in the market. However, in less than six months, technologies improved drastically and a slew of newer smartphones boasting greater specs and features pushed the original S5 to the back burner.
To date, Samsung has already released several Galaxy S5 variants such as S5 Active, S5 LTE-A, S5 Sport and S5 Mini. However, rumors claim that another version is on its way for release soon. The Google Play Edition of the Galaxy S5 is expected to be unveiled in no time.
Google hinted the imminent arrival of the handset through the updated web page of the new Android OS. Google revamped the Web pages of android.com when it released Android 5.0 Lollipop. The alleged Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition was spotted amongst other Nexus and GPE devices.
According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S5 GPE will pack a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen display. It will be powered by Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 paired with 2 GB of RAM. The device will offer users with 32 GB of storage, with a microSD card slot for an addition of up to 128 GB external storage. The handset will sport a 16 MP rear camera and 2 MP front-facing camera as well as 2800 mAh battery pack. The smartphone will surely run with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
