The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is bound to be released in the U.S. in November as the phablet was already rolled out in South Korea and Japan.
The much-awaited phablet with curved screen display from Samsung finally arrived to its first market and will head to other markets in no time. Japanese consumers get to enjoy their new devices through KDDI and NTT DoCoMo. Samsung posted a press release announcing the roll out of the device in Japan.
"We are thrilled to introduce the Galaxy Note Edge to Japanese consumers for the first time in the world. Samsung has demonstrated its leadership in the technology industry by pioneering numerous innovations, as evidenced in the Galaxy Note Edge. I believe the Galaxy Note Edge will meet the aesthetics of the most sophisticated Japanese consumers." said Tomonori Miwa, Sales Director of Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics Japan.
Meanwhile, there's great news for Samsung fans in the U.S. as reports claim that the device will head to AT&T and U.S. Cellular. This stems from reports claiming that a smartphone with model number SM-N915A was spotted in FCC that offers support for AT&T and U.S. Cellular's LTE bands.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a limited edition handset, which means that it will be available either in limited quantities or for a certain period of time. The availability of the device is different in each region and may follow the release path of the Samsung Galaxy Round.
One of the possible reasons for the delay of the release of the device is the time that it needs in manufacturing and producing the curved screen display of the handset. Due to this feature, the Galaxy Note Edge is reported to be more expensive than its brother, the Galaxy Note 4. However, Samsung and carriers have not revealed the official pricing of the device yet.
