Galaxy Note 4 vs Moto Droid Turbo specs: Which phablet to buy?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Motorola Droid Turbo are just two of the many phablets that were released this year.  Samsung's phablet is already available in major U.S. carriers (Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon).  The Motorola Droid Turbo is also available for purchase but is exclusive to Verizon.

Below is the comparison between Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Motorola Droid Turbo to guide consumers in buying a new phablet.

Screen Display

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a massive 5.7-inch screen panel with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED pixel resolution. Meanwhile, the Motorola Droid Turbo also comes with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution but squeezed in a slightly smaller 5.2-inch screen panel that yields to a higher ppi of 565.

Processor

Just like its predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes in U.S. and international variants with different processors. One is powered by a quad-core 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, while the other variant includes a 64-bit enabled octa-core Exynos 5433 chipset with quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex A57 and quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A53 CPUs. Like one of the variants of Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the Motorola phablet is powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz and Adreno 420 graphics chipset.

Internal Storage

Both devices come in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants. However, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a micro SD slot that allows for up to 64 GB of additional storage.

Operating System

Both smartphones run with the 4.4.4 version of the KitKat OS and will receive updates for the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Camera

The Note 4 comes with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 8x digital zoom and a 3.7 MP front-facing camera. The Droid Turbo, on the other hand, packs a 21 MP rear shooter and 2 MP front-facing camera.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 3220 mAh battery, while the Droid Turbo is supported by a 3900 mAh battery pack.
