Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs update: Phablet to pack qHD display and 20MP back camera

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may include top of the line specs and features such as qHD screen display, Exynos Hexa processor, 20MP rear camera and water resistant feature.

Previous reports claimed that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will bring revolutionary specs and features as mentioned above. GSM Arena also cited an unnamed source detailing the screen display to be used by the much awaited phablet. According to the report, the Galaxy Note 4 will pack a 5.7 inches screen panel with qHD or 1,440 x 2,560 pixel resolution.

GSM Arena's source confirmed a few N910 T (Muscat) or Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs and features. The expected model number for the next Note is N910x, with the last digit separating the sub-versions of the device. Typically, 0 is affixed for an Exynos device, 5 for a Snapdragon-powered one, 6 for LTE and 2 for dual-SIM.

So far, the Galaxy Note series increases its screen size by 0.2 inches each year from 5.5 to 5.7 inches. However, it is surprising that the next generation of the phablet will retain the Note 3's screen panel. It was assumed that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a 5.9 inches screen.

There were also whispers backed up by patent drawings that the Samsung Galaxy Note will pack a three-sided YOUM display. Moreover, latest reports also stated that the phablet will come with bendable or curved screen panel.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was also rumored to pack a new 64-bit Snapdragon processor paired with 4GB of RAM, which ensures faster processing. Also, aside from the usual 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants, a 128 GB model was speculated to come this year.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date, the phablet was reported to be released on its usual launch window in September at the IFA trade show in Berlin happening on Sept. 4 to 20. However, Samsung has not confirmed any of the aforementioned rumors yet.
