South Korean tech giant Samsung recently released the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, which has the specs and features at par with flagship smartphones. The newly announced handset from Samsung packs a metal casing different from the plastic body packed in previous Samsung smartphones. The Galaxy Alpha handset also comes with a fingerprint scanner, ultra power saving mode, S Health, and connectivity support for Galaxy Gear.

Not long ago, Chinese company Xiaomi released its flagship handset – Mi4. Xiaomi continued to make noise in the market because of its smartphones with high end specs and features while bearing a friendly tag price. Its cheap price has been its most attractive feature.

Below is a comparison of Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Xiaomi Mi4.

Screen Display

The  Alpha packs a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED screen display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, while the Xiaomi Mi4 comes with a 5-inch Full HD screen display.

Processor

The Alpha runs with a Exynos 5430 chipset composed of two quad core processors clocked at 1.8 GHz and 1.3 GHz. The Xiaomi Mi4 smartphone will be powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.5GHz. The latter's processor will be paired with an Adreno 330 graphics chip.

Internal Storage

The  Alpha comes with 32GB internal storage. Xiaomi's smartphone offers either 16GB or 64GB storage variants.

Operating System

The  Alpha runs with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS boasting the company's TouchWiz UI. Xiaomi's handset runs with Android 4.4.3 version of Kitkat OS with MI user interface.

Camera

The Alpha sports a 12 megapixel camera at the back and 2.1 MP front-facing camera. Xiaomi Mi4, on the other hand, packs a 13-megapixel back camera with 8 MP front camera great for video calls and selfies.

Battery

The battery of The Alpha falls below 1,860 mAh. Xiaomi Mi4 will be powered by an 3,080 mAh battery pack.
