Samsung entered another market with an eye-catching device. The South Korean tech company teased consumers with its own all-in-one PC, dubbed as Series 7 AIO, which may be different from iMac but is nonetheless a very interesting piece of technology.

One of the key points of the device is its 27-inch monitor with curved screen display and 1080p Full HD pixel resolution. Samsung seems to capitalize its curved screens after it offered the feature in its smartphones and TVs. The device also boasts Intel Core i5 processor, both a 128 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD, 8 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, integrated Intel graphics, a built-in web camera and a pair of 10W built-in speakers. The speakers allow users to stream music via Bluetooth even if the PC is turned off. The PC runs with Microsoft's latest Windows 8.1 operating system. Samsung is set to inform the public more about the new Series 7 AIO in the upcoming 2015 Consumer Electronics Show.

Although the Series 7 AIO is not the first all-in-one PC, the market is not typically crowded unlike the smartphone and tablet markets. Samsung could nestle in a good spot if it can match up the Apple's iMac. All-in-one PCs offer convenience and space to users as all components are relatively packed in a neat and space-saving piece of electronic. There is no need for tall towers and bulky CPUs.

However, all-in-one PCs also has a disadvantage. Many users find the device hard to fix once broken since tinkering with it requires one to open the box-like CPU. Moreover, do-it-yourself modifications and upgrades are limited.

Meanwhile, Samsung also teased about a new Series 9 notebook that offers a 12.2-inch screen display with 2560 × 1600 resolution, an Intel Core M processor running at up to 2 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. The laptop also comes with Windows 8.1 operating system and takes pride in its 12-hour battery capacity.

Samsung is saving the juicy details for the trade show happening next week. The company will surely announce the pricing and availability of the aforementioned devices.
