"Rogue Trooper Redux" is a remastered version of "Rogue Trooper" and it's set to hit video game shelves on Oct. 17. This game puts players back into the shoes of Rogue and sends him back to Nu Earth where he must battle foes. "Rogue Trooper Redux" will feature online modes and will allow up to four players to team up and face the perils of Nu Earth together.

The game will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

According to the game's official website, the remastered version will return with "HD graphics, remodeled assets, dynamic lighting, enhanced geometry, new special effects and more." They also modernized the game's controls, revamped the cover system, and added extra game modes into the mix.

Other things "Rogue Trooper Redux" will bring to the table this October are A British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA)-nominated story that is faithful to the original, powerful upgrades, and a single player campaign version alongside their multiplayer version.

They also added a cover system, similar to most modern shooting games. Now, players will be able to slip into the shadows and take out enemies from the safety of cover.

Some characters from the comic will also be making appearances in the game. Some of these characters are Gunnar, Venus Bluegenes and the Traitor General.

Earlier this month, a sneak peak into a 10-minute gameplay video was released on the official Twitter page. A stream was also held on Twitch on Oct. 12 and those who participated had a chance to not only witness the new gameplay mechanics in action, but also win prizes.

"Rouge Trooper" was originally released for the PC, PS2, and Xbox in 2006. It was a third-person shooter game, and similar to the remastered edition, followed the adventures of G.I rouge as he traveled and fought his way through Nu Earth.
