The fourth season of "Revenge" may call for new characters and an insider revealed that Emily Thorne's new love interest will join the cast.

An unnamed source told TV Line that the series will introduce a new character in the series' season 4. The new character is connected to Jack Porter and could be Em's new flame.

"He's a childhood friend of Jack's who has a touch of PTSD from his military days. He decides to make his short-term visit to the Hamptons permanent after something life-changing happens to Jack, then makes fast friends with a number of the locals — including Em," the source told the publication.

Other reports claimed that Emily and Jack may rekindle their old flame next season after Emily's fiancé Aiden was killed by Victoria. However, there is also a possibility that Emily will be caught up in a love triangle with Jack and Amanda.

Meanwhile, Emily's father David Clarke will be back next season. The season 3 finale showed David killing someone. He will go in the middle of Emily and Victoria's cat fight. David is meant to bring trouble upon his return to the Hamptons.

Meanwhile, Victoria will strike back at Emily after the latter put her in the mental hospital, while Emily may have to go back to her drawing board to devise a new battle plan against Victoria. Other "Revenge" spoilers revealed David Clarke's character will affect Emily and Victoria and Jack will break laws. Moreover, new hidden agendas will surfaced on the upcoming season of the hit TV series.

Show creator Sunil Nayar hinted that it seemed that the characters will step out of their comfort zone. In her own words, Nayar said that "It's going to be a totally different show next season- a reincarnation."

"Revenge" season 4 will come back in September on ABC at 10 pm, ET/PT Sundays.
