'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' release date spoilers: First full-length trailer released

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Screen Gems

The first full-length trailer for "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" has been released, and though short, it reveals several key plot details regarding the movie, including the fact that the movie will be set back in Raccoon City and that several characters from the older films will be returning.

As reported by IGN, the film will see Alice (Milla Jovovich) return to the Hive, the original setting from the first film, as she attempts to stop the Umbrella Corporation from striking against the final few survivors of the zombie apocalypse. The trailer also showcases that while Alice will be fighting zombies and mutants she will also be fighting a returning Dr. Alexander Isaacs (Iain Glen).

Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) is also shown in the trailer but instead of being the main antagonist it is hinted he will be teaming up with Alice in order to stop Isaacs and the Umbrella Corporations given that the latter betrayed Wesker in the previous film.

Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) is returning and she will be joined with newcomers to the series such as Rola, who plays a character named Cobalt. William Levy will be portraying Christian, Ruby Rose will be portraying Abigail and Lee Joon-gi will be playing a character named Commander Lee.

The Red Queen and the laser trap from the first film make a return in "The Final Chapter" and it is hinted that the old defense mechanism from the original film are still active despite the facility being in ruins for several years. It is undetermined at this point who is running the Umbrella Corporation other than Dr. Isaacs.

Fans also speculate that "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" might not be the final entry in the series given that other horror film series, such as "Friday the Thirteenth," have used the same subtitle before only to have a sequel release several years later. It is possible that a reboot will happen after the launch of "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter."

"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" will open in theaters on Jan. 27, 2017.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
