Capcom has released yet another teaser trailer for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," and this time, the video clip reveals a few new details regarding the game's combat mechanics and some of the players' main enemies. The video, titled "Immortal," showcases protagonist Ethan going up against the villain Jack Baker.

The video is only a few seconds long, just under a minute, but it shows Ethan facing off a half-naked man, revealed by the video description to be Jack Baker, who is wielding a wooden plank or club covered in nails. Jack tells Ethan that "it's over" and takes a swing at Ethan, but the protagonist still lives and pulls out a pistol to fight back.

It is revealed that, at this point, the gameplay resembles a first-person shooter like the "Call of Duty" games, but it appears to be slightly slower paced. When Ethan fires and Jack stumbles back into the light, the video reveals that the game utilizes a new physics system that allows Jack's body to accurately display bullet wounds exactly where he was shot.

With two hits, Jack goes down and Ethan starts stumbling off to safety. By the end of the video, however, Jack is heard saying "No, no, no, now you're going to get it," and as Ethan spins around, the video shows Jack rising back up. This action, as well as the video title, implies that Jack is immortal, or at least, difficult to permanently kill.

Fans of the franchise will recall that this is not the only villain in the games to exhibit immortality. Nemesis from "Resident Evil 3" was a constant threat and each time he would arrive the player would have the chance to escape or fight. If the player chose the latter, they'd be able to knock Nemesis down but not kill him until the very ending of the game.

It is possible that Jack will be a similar enemy, one that always rises back up and returns at certain points in the game to threaten and attack the player.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is scheduled to launch for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Jan. 24, 2017.
