Capcom has unveiled the Collector's Edition for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," which is going to be a Game Stop exclusive and will cost $179.99. The Collector's Edition will be released simultaneously with the standard edition of the game in January next year.

Announced on Capcom's official blog, the Collector's Edition will come with the base game enclosed in a special steel book metal case and a unique VHS tape box. Also included in the package is a "creepy note" and a high-end lithograph showcasing the Baker family.

The real treats of the Collector's Edition, however, are the USB flash drive and the music box. The former is a 4 GB USB drive made to look like the severed finger from the game's demo. The latter is designed as an 8-inch replica of the mansion that the game takes place in.

In the original demo for "Resident Evil 7, " the severed finger sparked a lot of controversy and theories, but in the end, it was discovered that it had no other purpose in the game other than to lead players on a wild goose chase. In an update, the finger was then allowed to be attached to a mannequin, but even doing this triggered no event.

On the other hand, when the music box is opened, it will play a rendition of the game's main theme, "Aunt Rhody." It also has built-in LED lights that will flash on and off when the music is playing, replicating the horrific theme of the main game and its setting.

The game is set several years after "Resident Evil 6," and its launch is also going to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will launch on Jan. 24, 2017, and it will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, via Windows 10 and Steam. The game will also be compatible with PlayStation VR, and it can be played through a special PSVR mode.
