While filming for the 10th season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Vicki Gunvalson received the devastating news that her mother, Joanne Steinmetz, had suddenly passed away at the age of 83. The episode, which aired last Monday, showed Gunvalson as she collapsed to the floor sobbing after learning about the bad news from her daughter on the phone.

In an interview with Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live," the 53-year old reality TV star — who has yet to see the episode — said that she does not regret having cameras rolling to capture her reaction to her mother's death, which happened in February.

"It's part of my reality," she told Cohen. "I lost my mother. I signed up for all areas of my life to be exposed — the good and the bad."

She added that during her run on the show, there have been great moments that were aired, and there were some that she wished weren't documented on the reality show. But Bravo filming her true reaction to her mother's death isn't one of the things that she regrets being shown on television.

"We're going to be alive when our parents die, statistically," she continued. "I don't blame Bravo, I don't blame anybody. It's my life."

Gunvalson revealed that she doesn't remember much about what went on that evening when she received the news from her daughter.

"It was like I blacked out," she said, adding that she was unable to comprehend the fact that her mother is gone.

The reality star told Cohen that she never thought that she would lose her mother during the tenth season of "RHOC." She thought that she would be losing her longtime boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, who is currently battling cancer.

"That's the hard part of doing this," she told Cohen about filming a reality show. "You don't know what your reality is going to be like tomorrow."

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
