"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" might be ready to debut a new storyline when it returns for its sixth season on Bravo. Instead of wine-throwing and slapping incidents, the upcoming season could feature superstar exes and their mothers as it has been reported that Cody Simpson's mom, Angie Simpson, is in negotiations for a spot in the hit series.
"She is in talks," a source told E! News. "[Angie] has not filmed yet."
Another source told NW Magazine Australia that Angie will be replacing Brandi Glanville and will be "a new Housewife on the show soon."
Angie is married to Brad Simpson and is the mother of Cody, Disney Channel star Alli, and Tom. Since moving to L.A. from their native Australia in 2010, the mother of three is regularly spotted on red carpets and at celebrity events with Cody and Alli.
Cody is the ex-boyfriend of Yolanda Foster's daughter, Gigi Hadid. The pair dated on and off for two years before splitting earlier this year. Right now, Gigi is linked to Joe Jonas, but she and Cody remain amicable. If Angie Simpson joins the cast of "RHOBH," it would be interesting to watch her interactions with Yolanda, and it's possible that fans will get to see Cody and Gigi as well, but right now, there is no word if Angie's husband or any of her three children will be featured on the show.
Details on the cast of the Bravo franchise are still being finalized as of the moment. Last month, Brandi Glanville confirmed her exit from the show and it has been reported that Kim Richards won't be returning as well. There has been no official word about Lisa Vanderpump or Kyle Richards, and there has been no confirmation if new Housewives Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson will return. And despite rumors, Kyle and Kim's sister Kathy Hilton won't be joining the show in season 6.
