'Quantico' season 2 spoilers, news: Story will unravel slowly

"Quantico" season 2 is bound to be a different show from season 1 due to the fact that Alex (Priyanka Chopra) has moved from the FBI to the CIA, where action is less a priority and intelligence, espionage and mind games become the norm.

According to a report from TVLine, showrunner Joshua Safran has explained that because Alex is now with the CIA, the pacing of the season will be much different and that there will be new faces affecting how the story is told from the first episode to the last.

"All relationships will percolate and be slower," he explained. "If 'The Fugitive' was our Season 1 blockbuster, Season 2 is a different movie entirely."

The report also gave fans their first good look at agent Harry Doyle (Russell Tovey). Tovey is set as a series regular, indicating he will be interacting a lot with Alex given that they are both in the CIA. Another new character is CIA officer Owen Hall (Blair Underwood), who is also set as a series regular.

León Velez (Aarón Diaz) is also shown in the image but Diaz is only coming in as a recurring guest. His character, Velez, is a photojournalist and many fans speculate that he will be key in unraveling some of the mysterious happening within the FBI and the CIA.

Velez is also described as an adrenaline-junkie, indicating he is a thrill-seeker always looking for the next big scoop. A previous report reveals that season 2 will involve a worldwide conspiracy that also involves members of the FBI and the CIA. Velez may be one of the characters Alex will turn to when she runs out of people she can trust.

Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin) and Alex's relationship is also going to go through hurdles. Vine Report reveals that the two will be tested right from the very first episode of the season.

"Quantico" season 2 premieres on Sept. 25.
