'Pokémon Go' update: Cheats, tips, Eevee evolution, tricks and more revealed

"Pokemon Go" has become one of the most popular games of all time and is now one of the most active mobile apps in history. Since its launch, there have been a lot of dedicated players that have gotten hold of the numerous cheats, tips and tricks to get the most out of the game.

As reported by Tech Insider, there are numerous little gimmicks in the game that are not stated to the player. One such example is that players can get Pikachu as their first Pokemon instead of Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur. In order to get Pikachu, a player must not engage and capture any of three starters and instead choose to walk away.

After reaching a certain distance the three starters will pop up again on the map. The player is advised to merely walk away again. Upon the fifth time of doing this Pikachu will finally appear on the map and now players can encounter it and capture it. It is almost a guaranteed catch since it will be the player's starting Pokemon.

There is also a means of controlling Eevee's evolutions. Eevee in the main games has several evolution options but in "Pokemon Go" an Eevee can only evolve into Vaporeon, Flareon or Jolteon. The report reveals that players can control which Pokemon the Eevee will evolve into by simply renaming it before evolving it.

Renaming the Eevee into Sparky will guarantee it will evolve into Jolteon. Renaming it into Pyro will turn it into a Flareon and renaming it to Rainer will turn it into a Vaporeon. This is an homage to the original "Pokemon" anime in which Ash Ketchum meets three brothers named Rainer, Sparky and Pyro. Each brother had their own Eevee.

"Pokemon Go" is available in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and others but has yet to be released in many Asian territories including Japan.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
