PlayStation Plus rumors: 'Hardware Rivals' could be made available via the service

With still about two weeks to go in December, gamers are already eager to find out what new titles will be available for free via the PlayStation Plus service.

As luck would have it however, Sony has yet to officially make the list of January PlayStation Plus games available, so players still have no idea about what to expect, but that has not stopped rumors from emerging.

One game that fans may want to look out for next month is "Hardware: Rivals."

According to Push Square, "Hardware: Rivals" is currently expected to be made available exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in both North America and Europe when it is officially released on Jan. 5, 2016. As the website goes on to point out, Jan. 5 also just happens to be the same day that the PlayStation Plus is expected to receive its update, meaning it would make sense for the title to also be made available for free via the service.

In the past, Sony has made some upcoming games available via the PlayStation Plus service on the very same day that they were scheduled to be launched, so them doing so again would not be all that surprising.

Still, with a lack of confirmation from Sony, "Hardware: Rivals" coming to the PlayStation Plus is still just a rumor for now.

One thing that is confirmed is that "Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power" will be made available at a discount to PlayStation Plus members, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.

The game is officially set to be launched on Dec. 22, and those who will be purchasing it before Jan. 6, 2016 will get a 10 percent discount if they are PlayStation Plus subscribers.

That's about it for now in terms of what fans can expect from PlayStation Plus, although the full list of games being made available via the service should be announced not too long from now.
