"One Punch Man" season 2 will see the fleshing out of the dreaded S-Class hero King and his secret, which Saitama will help him keep.

Saitama has always strived to be a hero for fun, which meant that he does not care much about what others think of him, as long as he manages to stop the bad guys.

King, however, benefits from his reputation as a hero. Many people look up to him and criminals fear him. However, the truth about who he really is will be revealed in "One Punch Man" season 2.

King was glimpsed in the season 1 finale when all S-Class heroes were called to deal with a new threat revealed to be extraterrestrials led by Lord Boros, who Saitama managed to defeat.

While he was not the only one, King was noticeably missing during all the action. Metal Bat, Bang, Genos, and many other S-Class heroes dealt with the tyrants, but King is nowhere to be seen.

It turns out that King is nothing but a fake, and who he really is will be the subject of the first episode of "One Punch Man" season 2.

The shocking truth about him was revealed when King encounters a monster that is specifically looking to duke it out with the high-ranking hero.

Genos is left to deal with him as King chose to run away after he asked the monster for a bathroom break. Saitama, on the other hand, followed him to his house.

When another attack happened at King's home, he was fortunate to have Saitama around. After putting two and two together, the hero for fun realized that King is not what everyone thinks he is.

However, Saitama chooses to keep King's secret and even befriended the guy, although he asked him to at least do something to gain strength to be able to fight.

All this and more will be featured in "One Punch Man" season 2.

The anime is rumored to return early next year, although no official announcement about the release date has been made.
