Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley were both part of the American supernatural drama television series "The Vampire Diaries." During the show's run, Dobrev became attached to another actor in the set, Ian Somerhalder, but she and Wesley are known to be good friends. After the conclusion of "The Vampire Diaries" last month, there were rumors that Dobrev and Wesley may be dating in real life.

Although there is no concrete basis and no confirmation from Dobrev and Wesley, many speculate that they are dating in real life. There were rumors that during the filming of the last few episodes of the "The Vampire Diaries" season 8, they developed an even deeper relationship.

The show creators had already noted their chemistry on screen back then. In an exclusive discussion with E! News, executive producer Julie Plec said, "The hero/heroine chemistry between Paul and Nina was just so beautiful, so that worked, and you can't force that, and you can't write that on the page. It just has to exist."

It does not help that Wesley and her girlfriend of four years, Phoebe Tonkin, recently broke up. In fact, reports say that one of the reasons why Wesley and Tonkin split is that the latter felt threatened by the reunion of Wesley and Dobrev during the filming of the last few episodes of the show's season 8, in which they seemed to have had some cozy time together.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Wesley and Tonkin were seen on several occasions together, but it is confirmed that they are just friends. Tonkin seems to be determined to move on as well, as there are reports that she has deleted all the photos with her ex-boyfriend on social media. In addition, Tonkin has reportedly given back the Cartier promise ring that Wesley gave her.

Dobrev and Wesley continue to deny the allegations made regarding their dating life.
