Motorola partnered with its former mother company and took the helm in making the new Google Nexus 6, which is Google's entry in the phablet category. The smartphone will be available for pre-order starting Oct. 29, but Google did not disclose the concrete shipping dates for the device.
Meanwhile, Motorola recently released its refreshed flagship smartphone, the Moto X. The device is now available for purchase in Verizon Wireless for $50 with a two-year contract. Moto X (2014) comes with upgraded features that are at par with other smartphones in the market.

Screen Display
Google Nexus 6 packs a 5.96-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution and a pixel density of 493 ppi. The Moto X (2014) comes with 5.2-inch screen panel with Full HD (1080 x 1920) screen resolution and a pixel density of 423 ppi.
Processor
The Moto X (2014) comes with a previous generation 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AC SoC paired with Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. The Nexus 6, on the other hand, is powered by the latest quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz aided by an Adreno 420 GPU and 3 GB of RAM.
Internal Storage
The Google Nexus 6 is available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants. Meanwhile, the Moto X (2014) comes with a 32 GB storage variant.
Operating System
Moto X (2014) was released with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, but Motorola needs very few customizations and it will surely get the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS update soon. Google Nexus 6, on the other hand, is the first smartphone to run with the new Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is claimed as the biggest Android update yet.
Camera
Both Motorola handsets pack a 13-megapixel back camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Battery
Google Nexus 6 comes with 3220 mAh battery pack and the Moto X (2014) has lesser battery power with its 2300 mAh battery pack.
